Others have suggested the larger APO as well and I'm giving it some
serious thought...a few more nudges might be just enough<g>.

The mount upgrade would be a hard sell.  I did the G11 upgrade about a
year ago and convinced my wife it was a good deal because I could upgrade
the OTA and keep the mount, so that's what I'm looking to do.

I appreciate your sound advice, Alan, but I don't think I have that kind
of patience<g>.  The idea is to splurge just a bit now, something that
will tie me over until the college expense years are behind me.  Hopefully
by then a good RC will be more viable, but who knows what the future
holds?
