Lessons learned so far:
1. Polar alignment is critical.
2. Polar alignment is critical.
3. Shoot close to the zenith - horizons are fun for
perspective shots with trees but they wash out fast.
4. 800 film washes out fast but is good for a
beginner.
5. Airplane lights or satellites in your shot are
neat, once. Only once.
6. Sit comfortably.
7. Use a watch - counting in your head is good for
about 3 minutes.
8. A Bogen ball joint is better than a 4 pound wooden
swivelling monstrosity.
9. Polar alignment is critical.
10. Polar alignment is critical.
