[APML] Focusing with KEF and Diagonal?

I'm having a problem using my Hutech KEF with the diagonal adapter.

I've successfully used the Hutech KEF on my LX200 many times in the past. I just bought the diagonal adapter to save my neck when using the KEF. I connected the adapter to the back of the KEF, then inserted my diagonal into the adapter.

The problem is that the star image no longer covers the entire mirror. Instead, the star image appeared to be a very small disk that only covered a small portion of the mirror. I suppose this is because of the extra distance to my eye imposed by the adapter and diagonal.

I don't know how to use the KEF in this configuration. So, I ended up removing the adapter and diagonal and focusing by the usual means (i.e., down on my knees, neck contorted). Does anyone know how to use the diagonal adapter with the Hutech KEF? Am I doing something wrong?
