That's the thing... I don't touch the
color data all the way to PS... it stays in a 16 bit mode until I open the image
with levels and curves. The initial color balance is dictated by the color
response of the filters and the timing of the exposures in relationship to the
sensitivity of the chip. Except for the "crossover" points in the filters (which
I hope have at least some overlap to avoid dead response zones) I should have a
good representation of what is up there if the grayscales look good. I kind of
think that I am close... but this test is really sensitive so it will be
interesting to see if there are any crossovers in the grayscale.
