Here in west Texas tranparency is shot due to the smoke. We are
under "o-zone warnings" like all the time now. Last night, Venus was
very spiked due to the crappy transparancy.

About 2 hours drive east. the fire is moving away from
us, but the transparency is now getting quite poor over most of
northern arizona.
