RE: [APML] AZ and CO Fires
Just for fun, I was flying from Denver to DFW on Frontier since my
company abandoned direct flights, and when we left Denver last week, we
went to 32k to get above the smoke. Our flight was said to be at 36k I
did not know the 727 could even do that! When we passed through the
smoke layer the whole airplane smelled like a campfire. After about 10'
at 36k we bled off the smoky smell. The whole area was yellow on
approach from Seattle. Really clear indication on particle transport in
these conditions!
