I couldn't agree more. I'm a couple of months behind you on my "ST-10 time" and it's already clear that I'll be spending a good deal more time processing than imaging. The results (for suitable targets, as you say) are worth it, though!

   I'm glad to see that hypered RG200 got the best score from all those films... that was my conclusion from all the films that I tested. A footnote to all on the list... now that I have been sleeping in the CCD camp for awhile I am glad that I still have my film set up... there may be situations where film is still the best choice, but on small objects like planetaries and galaxies, well... you've seen the results. One other note... to get really good results with a CCD requires much more work than a film shot... these devices are permeated with NOISE !!!  You can get rid of most of it, but it takes a lot of extra effort and time.
