Let me stress that all operations (DDP, exposure time scaling, combining
of the RGB channels) happened on the FITS level in order to preserve the 
full dynamic range. I'm not at all sure that operations in Photoshop and 
the like are done the correct way. As long as the source code of these
programs is proprietary they are a black box.
