RE: [APML] ESO Tarantula CCD image



Jerry, you may be partially right.  My thougths are the method may be much
more effective for CCD data becuase it has a higher dynamic range than film,
and is more uniform.  For film, it could be a trade off on the contrast due
to random clumping of the grains in the chrominance data.

Hi Chris,

I'm not convinced.  I'm leaning back to thinking the gains are a trade off
for contrast in the object.
