The best way to do it, I think, would be to get a compass and an angle measuring device. You will need to set the altitude by knowing your latitude, that will tell you how far up it needs to point. Second with your compass, you need to pint it to true South not magnetic south. The map to field deviation in São Paulo is probably about 10 deg so point the axis to 170 South. That should get you fairly close. I don't know how you can refine it.

I am new to AP .
As a starter I am using a Barn-Door tracker.
I live in Sao-Paulo Brazil, where there is no Polaris to help with the alignment.
Can anybody recommend a practical method ?
