[APML] Calibrating STV axes independently

I have seen this question posed before here on APML, but never seen the answer.
Last night I tried unsuccessfully to use the second firmware version released by
SBIG which among other things was supposed to make it possible to calibrate the X
and Y axes with different slew times for mounts where the speeds are significantly
different. Darned if I could make it work!

I would really appreciate a step by step comment on how to do this if anyone has
been successful.
