[APML] Monday's Eclipse (redux?)

According to CNN there will be a partial eclipse at sunset on Monday for
those of us on the west coast
(http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/space/06/06/solar.eclipse/index.html) and
I'm kind of curious as to how you all would recommend "shooting it".

I have a 600mm F8, but I don't think my camera has a fast enough shutter
speed at F8 to shoot the sun. Even if I stack the two neutral density
filters I have on it. (it would take it down 8 stops) I could probably
expose it with my 80-400, with the ND filters -- that one stops down to
F32.

I've never shot the sun before -- Do you have any ideas?

Scott
