       I have done a fair amount of mounting 
myself,mostly lab prints but the procedure is the same.I 
would suggest applying *any* protective aerosol coating 
after the print is mounted.You should be using a Brayer 
to roll down the print to the mounting surface,and a 
spray can finish is much more likely to smudge or marr 
than a dry,photo quality print 
surface.                                                 
          For prints up to 8X10 I've had excellent 
results with 3M Photo Mount,pn6094...11X14 and up 3M 
Super77 Spray Adhesive has proven easier to handle and 
better gripping.I've done my own up to 20X30 but vacuum 
mounting at the lab is probably the best bet for the big 
stuff.I prefer the foam core to the museum board...it 
doesn't seem to bow as easy.As with anything,practice 
makes perfect...expirement with some small prints and 
find what works best for you.Hope this helps!
