[APML] Calculating background colour drift

Dear All,

as every astrophotographer knows, every film type has got a different colour
for the background; some films tend to green others to yellow and so on...
I'd like to know if anyone of you has already tried to measure with their
films the quantity of colour adjustments that could be made with an image
processor by analysing the image itself, and possibly to automatise this
process...

A similar question could be: do you think it could be possible to take a
nice colour picture's histogram and try to reproduce the same tones on your
pic?
