Re: [APML] egroups -OT



Hi Michael:
I was interested in your post about egroups. I looked at the site a few
weeks ago (I think Julie from the takahashi list referenced it). However,
they seem very inquisitive about one's personal data. I may be over
sensitized by the current comments about privacy invasion on the internet
and unbelievable number of cookies that accumulate in the temp internet
directory, but I decided maybe egroups wasn't as altruistic as it seemed. Do
you have any insight as to what they are getting out of this and what they
do with the personal information they collect?
