Hello John:
     I was also told that there are Orbweaver spiders at the Siding Springs
Observatory which are also very large.  They are so big that they like to eat
birds.  So you better not bring any pet parakeets to your site.
     It seems like most of the observatories have strange animals.  At Las
Campanas they had cute foxes.  However, my worst experience was meeting up with
a scorpion in the living room of Canada House at LCO.
