It depends where in Oz one wishes to image and view the Sth skies. This
time of year its own winter and yes, the bulk of the Milky Way galaxy passes
over head. In Central Australia.. around Ayers Rock, the skies can be cloudy
or clear. Generally speaking, even Siding Spring home of the AAT, has their
fair share of weather, but make up for lost time.
Between now and the end of September, generally speaking, are absolutely
wonderful - just ask anyone here on the list, what they thought of their
visit Down Under.
Under rural conditions where naked eye can reach Mv7.0, one has to wear
sunglasses and 15+ sun blockout cream, to prevent Cosmic radiation to the
eyes and skin.. >G<
