I think you are correct Michael. I used my Losmandy dovetail plates I had
used to mount my 10" sct to my AP 1200 mount. With these and a aluminum
plate about 20" long I was able to put together a solid side-by-side mount
for the Tak 130 and my 80mm guidescope. This will also serve as a platform
for any piggyback photography with camera lenses. Just some drilling and
tapping here and there as you mention.
