[APML] Fog filters/Stacking

Hi,
Last night I went out to do some widefield work using a cokin fog filter #2
and have a few questions...

I first started on Sagittarius and took two 12min. shots at f/2.8 on a 50mm
without the filter, and two 9 min. shots with the filter at the same  f/
stop using E200.

Is this right to stack two with the filter and two without and then blend
both ?
Or is it fine to just stack one of the fogs with one of the  normal
transparencies?

How much more or less should I have used the fog filter for?

And what is a good method of stacking?
