Re: [APML] AC Synchronous Stepper Motor
Mark,
After I sent the reply re the capacitor, I checked my mount which
has a Hurst reversable motor and the capacitor is a .25 microfarad
400VDC device. The capacitor goes between the Black and Red wires
and the blue is common. A switch connects to the red wire to run
the motor in one direction and to the black to reverse the motor.
The switch common then goes to the other side of the ac line.
Don't use an electrolytic or tantalumn(sp?)capacitor or it might
blow up in your face (literally).
Good luck and hope this helps you get the focus going.
Regards,
Bob
