[APML]: ST-4 test first night (to Chuck)

AS>It does work with dim guide stars but I cannot agree with the
AS>other statement. It is a good idea to keep it out of saturation
AS>which typically is in the upper 60's. My recently posted tri-color
AS>Pelican photo used a guide star that was reading 50 to 60 with
AS>an integration time of .5 seconds and average set to 3. The ST-4
AS>showed mostly A1 during all three 3 hour exposures.

Chuck,
What mount are you using for such an accurate tracking performance? To
have an A1 reading suggests a remarkably proficient drive. Is it a
commercial drive or custom made for your needs?
