Get a Losmandy GM-8 with a 8" SCT on top and your all set. If you can
afford a good refractor, even better. Then after your use to the mount,
pick up an ST-4 as an autoguider. You virtually eliminate the frustration
you will encounter with lesser setups.
One thing I've learned over the past year is GET A GOOD MOUNT. Even if you
can only do piggyback until you can afford to put a scope on it, you won't
regret it.
