I'd like to take this one step further. I'm after a good telescope for
astrophotography, and I've been saving for a bit of time for the 10" LX50.
But reading the messages on this thread, they aren't entirely positive and
glittering with praise. I simply would like an opinion for an alternative
scope - of about 8"-10" primary mirror diameter - that is roughly in the
same price range. Would the Celestar 8 Deluxe or Celestar 8 Computerised be
good options? I would like to stress it would be for astrophotography (I
suppose that's why I'm on this list!) and not just visual. Apologies if this
is a pretty vague question.
