One thing I have been noticing is the appearance of the scope and the
mount together. If it looks like the scope is too big for the mount, I
tend to shy away. It does not appear any of the SCT/GEM combos seem
truly balanced in terms of the SCT looks much too big. I had read
somewhere it is a good idea to buy a bigger than necessary mount.
The AP series, and Losmandy G11 are unfortunately outside of my range
UNLESS I purchase nothing else for awhile.

Meade has the LXD 650 and 750 series mounts, any experience with these? 


I guess I will keep My K1000 for prosperity_grin.
