[APML]: "yellow minus two"
The Astro-Photography Mailing List
------------------------------------
As a "newbie" to astrophotography and this newsgroup I would like to extend
my thanks to all for the valuable information posted here. My question
concerns Terence Dickinson and Jack Newton's book entitled Splendors
of the Universe: A Practical Guide to Photographing the Night Sky.
On page 44 the author's states:
"Your local one-hour should be quite receptive to helping you
get what you want. As a general rule, I've found that most print
films tend toward a slight yellowish green tint when printed without any
correction. At the outset, you might suggest that the operator set
'yellow minus two' for many films..."
In talking with my local one-hour photoshop operator, he asked whether
this meant two percent or something else.
Great job Chuck Vaughn!
Thanks in Advance
