I use a G-11 mount (not an AP) and ST-4 and use separate 12v power supplies
for each. The G-11 requires very little in the way of battery, but the ST-4 is
very sensitive to low voltage. With the ST-4, if the voltage drops to around
11v, strange things start to happen. I use three sets of Panasonic Gel-Cell
batteries to individualy power the G-11, ST-4 and Kendrick Dew Remover
(Preventer?) system. Each set(two wired in parallel) produces 12v and 14
amp/hr. which will power everthing all night with no problem. They are
rechargeable in a few hours.
I have mounted all three sets in a photographic (Tundra) attache-style case
which I position under the G-11 mount. The set-up is pretty heavy, but less
than a car battery. With the Gel-Cells there is no liquid or acid to spill.
