I think the matter of how reliable are the equipment reviews in
astro mags cannot be too far off topic in an astronomy mailing
list. 

But in any case, I have no further comment except to make it
clear that I am not trying to convince you of how things should
be, but only trying to point out how they are.

Thanks for the discussion, everyone, and for the many relevant
