You can still use a knife-edge for focusing a DSLR, and STI <
http://www.stellar-international.com/ > has them. You could get one for your
film camera..then just get the adapters for the DSLR when you get it. The
biggest advantage I see with this over the Hutech, is with the addition of a
rotatable, collimatable prism and eyepiece (which enlarges the image) making
it much easier to use.
Just something to consider.
