Re: [APML] ST-7XE autoguiding questions

Thanks to Jim Janusz and John Mirtle who responded privately. I
realized my post looked OT since I didn't actually say that I was using
this to autoguide for film imaging. I'm putting this to use with my
newly acquired Pentax 67 as well as a couple of older 35mm SLRs.

The consensus both here and elsewhere is that if the hand controller on
the Gemini is still working (it is) then I probably didn't fry
anything.

The part the I was missing was that the RJ-45 (-14? whatever the one
with 6-pins is) doesn't pass through 12V to power the autoguider
connections so I either need a relay box, the dual relay connector, the
new splitter box, or I have to mess with the CFW-8A. I already ordered
the splitter box. With only a week before the trip, I'm too risk averse
to try modding anything. I should be good to go on Monday night when
the splitter arrives, weather permitting (it's not tonight; to hazy to
find Polaris).

Thanks to all,

roland
