RE: [APML] Dew prevention on camera lens
The Kendrick will work just fine for you. As a cheap alternative you can
also use some of the throw away chemical hand warmers and rubber bands. I've
used these in a pinch when I didn't have a spare fuse for my Kendrick.

Subject: [APML] Dew prevention on camera lens
Hello-
I'll be in the high Sierra Nevada in early August and wanted to do
some star trail photography while camping. I'll probably go 2-3 hours
with some exposures. I have a 28mm Zuiko f3.5 lens & hood on my
trusty OM1. I'd like to avoid dew on the lens - so I was
contemplating the purchase of a Kendrick standard controller and as
described on their website a "2 inch heater for 2 inch eyepieces,
50mm finders, some camera lenses."
The 28mm Zuiko lens is 2" in diameter so it seems to me this would be
the setup I'd want to get. If so - will it keep dew off the camera
lens for long exposures? Would I just wrap the heater around the lens
as close as possible to where the hood starts?
Any advice from the experienced would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Allan
