Hi Allan,
to remove and/or prevent dew, I simply use a hair-dryer, those one used
in camping that work at 12V so that you can plug them into your
favourite power supply or car battery. What I do is giving 10/20 seconds
of hot air blowing in front of the lens every 5 minutes or so. It is not
too annoying and it worked well for me. Moreover, those hairdryers are
inexpensive.
