Last night I had good conditions in my backyard in
Castro Valley. So while others spend a perfectly good evening getting a crummy,
but scientifically interesting image of a very faint and ho-hum comet, I was
busy shooting nebulae from the backyard and watching the very awesome impact via
my WIFI and the NASA Internet feed.
I love this technology when it works as it is
supposed to.
I managed to get five hours of data logged before
M16 disappeared into the trees.
this was first light for my Finger Lakes CM10XME
camera and it was used on the AP180EDT with 0.75x telecompressor
(f/6.75)
it is a total of 5 hours exposure (6 x 20 min for
[SII], [OIII], 3 x 20 min for Ha).
