RE: [APML] Konica Centuria 400 Film page

Chriss,

I would be interested in buying some of the film. Can you post a photo of
the box.

You will enjoy the MI-250. I also have a non goto, SN 001. I have been
dealing with Larry since the beginning. If you have any questions or issues
at all give him a call. He does not care how or where you got your mount.
If it has his name on it he will stand by it and give you all the help you
need. One heck of a guy.

You will also like the FSQ. A good friend has had one for a few years and
while he is on the dark side he loves it. If I understand correctly though
it does have a hot spot in the center that shows on long film images. Does
not seem to bother CCD.

Enjoy,

Fred

Hello all! It's been awhile since I have posted, but wanted to let you know
I have the webpage up at our site showing the Konica Centuria 400 negative
film.

http://www.optcorp.com/cart/ProductDetail.asp?PR_ProductID=4035

We have priced it at $1.99/roll in 35mm format only for now, I have around
70 rolls currently. Seems not so many are buying film anymore, and I've been
considering making the jump to the dark (CCD) side myself!

On a side note, I finally have my new (used) mount working, a Mountain
Instruments MI-250 non GOTO. Can't wait to get out to some dark skies for a
mount workout. Today I just ordered myself a Takahashi FSQ-106, it should be
here soon. Can't wait to give this scope a through check out, several
friends have them and I am constantly blown away by what they are able to
capture with this great scope. Until the Tak arrives I will be shooting wide
field Canon/Olympus film cameras and through my Meade OTA 8" f/6.3 SCT.

Also thanks to the APML members that stopped by our display and chatted with
me at AstroCon 2004 last week in Berkeley, CA. It was great to finally meet
you and place a face to the posts.

Sincerely,
