Re: [APML] A few shots from last month

George, super shots! The first one seems almost B&W - that was intentional I am guessing - nice
effect. The second one is great! I looked at the histogram in PS and it is very well balanced. I
tried moving the mid-point (gamma?) down to 0.7 and the sky darkened noticeably without any loss I
could detect in detail. Also, Supra tends to go a bit magenta on us in long exposure so I used
curves and selected the red channel and pulled the lower part of the curve down very slightly and
that removed the reddish tint in the background but again without any obvious impact on the real
red highlights.

I then tried it again but first converted to CMYK colour space and this time, same adjustment in
levels then in curves pulled the Magenta down a lot at lower left while fixing the upper half of
the curve to keep the real magenta where it was.

Not sure if it helped but have a go and see if you like it more. I can send them off-line if you
want to see what I got. For some reason the CMYK converted file is 3x the size of the original.

Beauty in things exists in the mind that contemplates them.
