Re: [APML] Trifid at 4000mm



The FDR itself is just a geared stepper motor. The
drive base has an electronics board that drives the
motor in the right direction and speed depending on 
where the scope is pointing. The LX200 changes the 
slew rate of both alt/az motors when the hand control
is set to guide speed such that when you press "W" for
example its a true west slew as opposed to an az slew.
The autoguider has no idea its connected to an alt/az
system.
