Re: [APML] Scorpius, Sagittarius, and the Milky Way



Thanks to everybody for the nice words.

Chris, it's true that E100S has very good balance in color.  On the other
hand, it may not be as slow as it sound.  Although it's ISO speed is only
100, it has very low reciprocity failure and very fine grain (=high S/N).
Perhaps later I can upload a highly streched version of this Milky Way
picture so people can see the faintest details recorded on the film.
In the current version, I didn't emphasize the faint part otherwise the 
galactic center will be saturated.

I also like the nebulas in the south.  If I had "normal" weather, I could have
captured more of them.  On the day I took this picture, there is a band of high
cloud about 30 mile to the south of Mauna Kea.  The sky below Norma was
all blocked by the cloud.  Such a pitty.
