RE: [APML] Reciprocity of older films

Brian,
Using old films has come up a few times over the years and I think
that the general consensus was to stop using film after it hit 2 years past
it's expiry date. I haven't tested old films but have always sort of stuck
to that general rule. However, as there aren't many choices for print films
at the moment (Konica the only exception) why not give it a try? I used a
bit of Super G 800 and it was a nice film. Strong blues, OK reds but grainy.
My best colour M45 shot was with that film back in 95 -
http://members.shaw.ca/jmirtle/m45.htm . Be careful - there was a Super G
800 Plus that was not as good! The only meteor I have managed to capture was
with that film. Might as well give it a try. If it is still good, 30 rolls
will keep you busy for a while!

Thank you renzo and Don..

Ill just have to point shoot and see how things go next ne moon if its
clear.

BTW, i have about 30 rolls of Super G 800 also..this dated back to earliest
2/"99".

Is this a good aurora film?
I hardly think Ill use all that for aurora being that solar minimum is
almost upon us, but how about meteors?
Perseids are coming and its looking like its going to be a good show from
what Ive read so far.

Clear skies and thanks for the info:)
Brian
