welcome to the modern world of corporate PR, non-accountability and concerns
about product liability suits. I am surprised that there's not a disclaimer
stating that the product is sold as-is with no warrantee or representation
of suitability for any particular purpose.

It is interesting you received a voice mail: there's no paper trail for
lawyers. Did the person that called you either not identify themselves at
all or only give a first name making it even more difficult to hold them
accountable?
