Re: [APML] Tech Pan 120 Hypering, Kodak Response.

Thanks Chuck

I realize that unhypered TP is probably one of the worst films to use
for AP. I am looking for some examples that I can send to Pete and
others at Kodak "just in case" they don't grasp the effect that hypering
has on a film which their tech pub states "You can use these films for
stellar photography, but first hypersensitize them with forming gas".
I am in the final stages of setting up my hypering system and although I
am not shooting 120 format, I do have access to a Hassey that I would
like to try some widefield with someday.
Kodak had a similar problem in the past as a result of process
improvement. I run into the same problem at work almost everyday when a
process improvement based on cost is implemented on our product
(airborne magnetometers with a 0.001 gamma sensitivity) without checking
with us on the potential impact.
So I will write and contact Kodak and fully expect a response along the
lines of "Your concerns have been duly noted and will be forwared to our
technical film department for their analysis and evaluation".
