[APML] RE: Kodak

Hey folks,

I finally had the free time to put my latest in-the-field results of several
unhypered color print films on my website. See this link:
http://home.woh.rr.com/pfcf/latest_film.htm

I put examples of M20 shot with 4 print films on this site:
- "new" Fuji NPH 400
- Kodak High Definition 400
- Konica Centuria Super 400
- Kodak Max Versatility Plus 800

Since there was some discussion on APML not long ago about the Max
Versatility Plus 800 and its potential for longer exposures, I also did a
little experimenting with that. I have 12 and 24 minute exposures on this
web page for comparison.

Short answer: none of these four, out of the box, would be recommended,
although Max Versatility Plus 800 was a pleasant surprise when adjusted in
Photoshop. I think I may tinker with it some more since I have ready access
to a film scanner and Photoshop.

The MVP800 also showed surprising gain in detail when going from 12 to 24
minutes on M20, so it appears to have decent staying power, at least up to
the 24 minutes I exposed it.

Anyway, enjoy, and I hope this helps some of you...
