 Well... not entirely. This one sort of smacks of the extremities of special 
interests... such as dark skies. As Lisa approaches the Springfield 
Observatory, astronomers are portrayed as obsessive-compulsive types fighting 
(violently) for time at the scope. Later, after lighting restrictions are 
imposed by poll watching Mayor Quimby, a massive crime wave ensues. Quimby 
promptly removes the lighting ordinances.

 The episode ends on a good note, (James Taylor:-) but the kids must first 
sabotage Burns's power plant (e.g. Greenpeace) so all can witness the meteor 
shower. Amusing, yes... but I'm not sure if they did more harm than good with 
this one...   :-/
