Re: [APML] Pentax 6x7 question

Hello Ric:

Mirror lockup with 35 mm cameras is not required for deep sky astrophophotography.  I have it on my camera and never use it.  You also do not need to use your timer or the "hat trick".  Just use a good lockable cable release and the bulb setting and it will work fine.

Subject: [APML] Pentax 6x7 question

Is mirror lockup a must have,or can you work around it with timer button? I have old Nikon FE and set timer for shot, mirror kicks up, about 10 seconds later shutter fires, would this work?
             Thanks Ric Thiem
