If I remember, the Fairchild chip with 4Kx4K pixels costs about
$100K. The 85 Megapixels CCD have a lower QE and a high readout
noise. And the 4Kx4k chip is the best, it has the highest QE, you can
work without problems between 300 - 900 nm.
