Re: [APML] Tamron 90 mm f/2.5 macro



I have used the Tamron 90 mm f/2.5 macro lens with Tech Pan only and the
results were very good.  I shot at f/4.0.  The stars and field illumination
were much better than those with my standard Canon 50 mm lens shot at f/4.0.
In general macro lenses work quite well in astrophotography.  Their main
drawback, however, is small aperture.  Another lens in about the same focal
length that I prefer to the Tamron is the non-macro Nikon 105 mm lens.
