[APML] Need transparency scanned

Hello everyone-

I have a star trails/meteor transparency(unmounted) that I need scanned by a 
good high quality 4000 dpi scanner (Nikon?).  My Acer Scanwit( 2720 dpi) is 
not doing it justice.  My local lab wants $1.00/Mb to do this which I think 
is a little steep.  Is this the normal rate out there?  Any offers from 
anyone to do it cheaper?  You can email me off list at
