Re: [APML]4th of July Fireworks

Tony, The image has the potential to be a very deep and detailed one, Id work on those huge stars a bit.  Also, I beleive the image is too light, and needs more contrast on the dark lanes.  Getting any smoke up your way?

Hello,

Thought I would upload a quick and dirty version of the NGC 6946 that I have been working on... this is the luminance with IR cutoff... this facilitates complete RGB coverage of the luminance... color version coming when I get two more clear nights.

This is a total of 5.75 hours of luminance exposure at f/8 with the 14.5" Cassegrain... round stars for once and a better understanding of Sigma processing. I'll probably back off a bit for the LRGB but it's the fourth so I felt like fireworks... : - )

     Happy 4th!
