For this shot, I was set up in the sand with dunes nearby, does this count as a desert? :-')
 
Any new images?  I saw that Bob was sucked over to the dark side.  He should be able to get some great stuff from Pinos with his Cass and ST-10.  At least with CCD, Pinos should continue to be a prime site for imaging.

Chris,
 
     It's great to see the folks at the APOD site have an appreciation for the master of soul... your images always have emotional content... when I saw this one I said "wow"... you can take the astrophotgrapher away from the desert, but he'll still find the beauty in the sky wherever he is.
