I live on the western edge of Phoenix, I normally drive 2 hours minimum to
shoot pictures. Yes I have a 6x7 holder but I am
still having some focus issues with it. Hopefully by next month! I think
Isaid this last month too. The corners are so far apart
it is a real bear getting it perfect. It's close but not quite there yet.
As for the Flagstaff light pollution , it's better than most
cities but it's still there but minimal. Antelope Park is about 25 miles
south so it doesn't bother you, however Phoenix is still visible
to the south and it is 120 miles away! To shoot the southern milky way with
a wide angle you either go to the AZ/NM border
or W to the AZ/CA border.
