Chris,
I think your "guiding error" is the
aberration of the ME chip... I have seen quite a few samples of this now and it
makes a star look elongated by putting a small spike on it... if you buy a CCD I
would (IMHO) stay away from the ME and get the plain vanilla E chip
instead.
