Re: [APML] Flatfield frame on film?
I
raised this question a few weeks ago. The consensus was that due to the
non-linear nature of film, flat fielding a photo probably wouldn't work.
I still plan to give it a try, I just haven't got around to it yet. If
you have any results, I would like to see them.
I have taken flat fields to compensate for vignetting.
I have yet to apply it happily, however. It is something I am going
to work on. Our focal reducing element vignettes quite annoyingly
from a pure esthetic point of view, so I want to minimize this in future
composites. I am building a library of frames taken on black and
white film. It is a work in progress, but there is not any reason
that it will not work. Just put another five hours in each day and
I will have the answer for you in a couple of months...
Clear skies!
